Marzieh Ahankoob completed her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Iran-Tehran Azad university and then her Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from India- Pune University and also a Ph.D. degree in Psychology from Armenian- Yerevan University.
Marzieh has honourably clinical work experiences for over 16 years and enjoyed working with the psychotic and neurotic patients and outpatients either in psychiatry hospital or private clinic. She is licensed as a clinical psychologist in Iran-Tehran and Licensed as a Clinical counsellor in R CC-BC.
Over many years of clinical counselling experience across a variety of treatment settings include; private practice, she serves adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in the following areas:
• Parent/Child or Partner Relational Problems • Obsessions and Compulsions • Mood Disorders
• Personality Disorders • Anxiety Disorders • Physical, Sexual, Emotional Abuse • Anger and Stress Management • Dual Diagnoses • Marriage and Family Therapy.
she is eclectic and uses a blend of CBT, TA and, Solution Focused, Reality-Based, and psycho-education to individuals with psychotic history. A holistic approach is utilized by exploring with and educating clients about how mind, spirit and body are interconnected. Her theory is that when people have hope they can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes, people are free to experience change.
